The story so far

History

JANO Esports began as AHJO Esports in 2021 and rebranded to JANO in 2022. Since then it has grown into one of Finland’s most active Counter-Strike organizations — domestic titles, a main-stage debut and a new generation carrying the story forward.

The road so far

2021
  • Founded as AHJO Esports in August by Toni Järvinen and Peetro Aittola, with a first lineup of jezkuee, niska, ath0, Murhaaja and Myggis under coach TSUG.
2022
  • Rebranded to JANO Esports in August and signed a new roster — allu, ZOREE, arvid, sLowi and ottob — with Twista coaching; Sm1llee joined in December.
  • First trophy: Finnish Esports League Season 10 champions (December).
2023
  • Elisa Open Suomi Season 4 champions (March).
  • The roster evolves: jelo arrives from VISU, with Alxc, Jerppa and doto also coming in; ZOREE retires from CS:GO.
  • More domestic silverware — Pelaajat.com Series Fall and Finnish Esports League Season 11.
2024
  • Debut on the big stage at Elisa Masters Espoo 2024 — the org’s first A-Tier event (October).
  • Elisa Open Suomi Season 7 champions (October).
  • Roster reload: Aerial, HENU, airax and jelo join; Twista returns as coach (November).
2025
  • Sm1llee returns to the lineup as airax departs (January–February).
  • Elisa Open Suomi Season 8 champions at Assembly Winter — a third Elisa Open title (February).
  • ESEA Season 52 Intermediate (Europe) champions (March).
  • The veteran core — allu, Aerial, HENU, jelo, Sm1llee and coach Twista — departs as contracts expire (May).
  • A new young generation signs: Khelaa, Moroara, S4MI, R4azy and Tumpsukka (September).
  • Runners-up in the inaugural NUKE-Liiga Season 1 (December).
2026
  • R4azy leaves for ENCE Prospects; 3ikk4 joins and later departs; Khelaa moves on.
  • Third place in NUKE-Liiga Season 2.
  • The core of S4MI, Moroara and Tumpsukka keeps developing — the next chapter is being written.
